Due to the US Government shutdown in October and November 2025, there will be delays for the 2025 tax filing season. At present, IRS is reporting a massive backlog of work. Currently, we expect 2025 return e-file to be available January 27, 2026. Some returns will not be eligible for e-file until sometime in February, depending on the forms in the return.
Currently, IRS is reporting that any new correspondence for personal tax matters will face a 6-month wait and 9 months for business matters.
